About Bear Spot's Freestyle
If you ever wished you could sit in the judges' box and have your opinion count, here is your chance! Freestyle 2010 will continue to add a little "Serious Fun" to the year's event.
Same Excellence...with a New Twist!
As in all previous years, the Freestyle audience will be treated to the best of the best in the dressage world: top flight horse and rider combinations entertaining the crowd with great riding and rousing music. The new twist comes with the addition of over $5,000 in prize money...and audience participation. The riders are not required to stay within the strict parameters of traditional freestyle competition—they may add any movements or combination of movements that they desire.
Key Pads for Audience Votes
All adult members of the audience are provided with key pads to register their votes at the end of each ride. All votes are tabulated by computer and announced at the end of the day. The audience determines the winners!
Judges will score each freestyle as in a regular competition. In the event of a tied audience vote, their marks will help determine the winner.
Serious? Fun!!
This is a new concept for dressage. Generous prize money, audience participation, ultra-creativity and excellent horsemanship... a little bit serious and a lot of fun!
